Mediterranean vibe at Restaurant Tremondi in Quinten
We went to the restaurant Tremondi twice. Both times, we were delighted by the Mediterranean vibe of Quinten. Quinten has an amazing microclimate and offers warm temperatures most of the year. There are even palm trees growing in the village! The climate is also great for the grapes and therefore, for the local wines. Restaurant Tremondi offers local wines from Quinten
The second time we went was in March. We were lucky to have made a reservation, the restaurant was fully booked. We sat down at the small round table. The waitress recommended two local wines. We decided on the Chardonnay from Quinten and were very happy about the choice. A very dry white with a light taste of apricot filled our noses. The start of our culinary stay was a successful one!
A delicious mediterranean cuisine with homemade pasta at the Tremondi in Quinten
I started with a salad with fennel, orange, pane carasau, and pecorino from Sardinia. It was bitterly refreshing. Matthias went for the octopus prepared on a wooden grill. That made his day! The grilled octopus was juicy and had a hint of smoke – simply perfect. The last time we ate such a delicious seafood plate was on a trip to Barcelona – but here we are, surrounded by a lake and mountains in Switzerland.
The main dish was Tagliatelle al Ragu. The pasta was homemade. It felt fresh and we enjoyed the good meal accompanied with the Chardonnay from Quinten. We ate slowly, enjoyed the fantastic view over Walensee and the sunshine. The day was too good to be true already, and the meal in restaurant Tremondi made it perfect.
